Just the Basics: The Daily Grind
Sometimes a simple breakfast is the best kind! Especially if you aren't looking for a sit-down type of affair, a place like the Daily Grind will feed your belly (and caffeine addiction).
Choose from a variety of breakfast goodies like bagels, muffins, smoothies, yogurt, donuts, cinnamon rolls, and danishes.
Also plenty of coffee choices, whether you just want a simple cup or something fancy. The Daily Grind has lots of fun, yummy choices!
Best homestyle cooking: Southern Roots Grille
Located across the bridge in Holly Ridge, the Southern Roots Grille is a good choice if you are looking for an authentic sit-down breakfast.
They offer classic southern fare, like flaky biscuits, gravy, grits, crispy bacon, egg sandwiches and much more (see menu).
On a side note, they are also well-known for having awesome chicken wings. So, try them for lunch or dinner, too!
Something for Everyone: New York Corner Deli
Everyone in the family will find something they like to eat on this menu! The New York Corner Deli has all the classics, like egg sandwiches, omelettes, bacon, sausage, toast, homefries, pancakes, french toast, bagels, and muffins - yum!
They have a great lunch menu too, if you happen to sleep through breakfast.
Best Donut: The Fractured Prune
This is sort of a "design your own" situation, where you start with your hot, fresh donut. Then, have some fun. Choose your glaze (tons of choices, like banana, chocolate, marshmallow, or strawberry). Then, choose your toppings (like sprinkles, cookie crumbs, coconut, sea salt or bacon crumbles!).

At Sugar Island, you'll find a paradise full of homemade baked goods. Forget about your diet - this is the place to treat yourself. Each day, bakery staff makes all of the baked goods from scratch.
Try the Ricotta Pancakes with Rhubarb Compote, Apple Scones, Ricotta Cherry Breakfast Bites, Nutella Stuffed JUMBO Beignet, or their ABCD Muffins (Apple, Banana, Cinnamon, & Dates).
