Two Towns Half Marathon & 5K

October 8, 2016:
Beginning in Topsail Beach at 7a.m. and ending at Soundside Park in Surf City, this half-marathon provides incredible views of the beach and the sound during the peak of autumn. For the half marathon, cost is $55 for early birds, $65 on the day of the event and for the 5K, registration is $25-$35. Pre-packet pick up runs from 5-7p.m. at the Surf City Community Center. October 15-16, 2016:
Come to one of the most famous local festivals on Topsail Island. Enjoy the autumn air and the salty sea breeze at this locally-loved festival featuring several live entertainers, food and artists from 7:30a.m.-8:30p.m. Festival grounds are held each year across the Assembly Building on Channel Blvd. and Flake Ave. The day begins with the Kiwanis pancake breakfast, so come hungry. Surf City Fall Festival

October 29, 2016: Start a new fall family tradition with us at the Surf City Fall Festival from 10a.m.-3p.m. Join friends and neighbors at Soundside Park for a celebration of the autumn season. Find out more about the Surf City Fall Festival here.

Topsail Fall Surf & Pier Fishing Challenge

November 4-6, 2016: Welcome to the 2nd annual Topsail Fall Surf & Pier Fishing Challenge (technically third annual for surf, but second for the combined surf/pier event), a late fall event brought to you by Fishermanâ€™s Post that now includes Topsailâ€™s many miles of ocean beachfront perfect for surf fishing as well as the islandâ€™s three iconic fishing piers. This yearâ€™s schedule of events offers round-the-clock fishing from the piers and sand starting at Friday midnight and wrapping up Sunday at noon. The Topsail Fall Surf & Pier Fishing Challenge is perfect for family fishing. The entry fee is $55-$65 per angler for this six division tournament. Surf City Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

November 19, 2016: Fall is the gateway to the holiday season! Join the town of Surf City at Soundside Park at 6p.m. sharp as it lights its holiday tree and kicks off the Christmas season. Black Friday Holiday Market

November 25, 2016: Come shop all your favorite local artists from 9a.m. to 3p.m. and avoid the busy stores. Buy for yourself, for your family and for your friends this holiday season. Santa will be there to hear your holiday wishes. Bring an unwrapped gift for Toys For Tots to make a child's holiday merry and bright. Shop local, buy local! Topsail Island Holiday Flotilla

November 25, 2016: Dusk. Add an island vibe to your holiday season and enjoy this annual parade featuring decorated and lighted boats as they sail down the Intracoastal Waterway. Boats start in Surf City at the bridge and continue to the south end of Topsail Beach. Best views are at the Assembly Building, any sound dock or beach, and Soundside Park.
